The Proton Pack:
The Proton Pack is an un-liscensed nuclear accelerator. It consits of mutliple parts such as the Pack itself which consists of multiple firing modes. The gun connected to the Pack is known as a Particle Throw. When the Gun is fired it fires a Lazer Beam which is consists of Postive Particles and PSI Energy which corresponds to the Supernatural or Paranormals Negative PSI Engery. In other words the Particles are attracted to each other which causes the Target to get caught within the Beam. The Pack has two different firing methods, a standard lazer beam, described above. A Slime Blaster which is used to shoot possesed targets and clear ectoplasmic samples from the face of he earth. Think of the Slime as soap and the ectoplasim as bacteria, when they come in contact together it causes the ectoplasim to disappear. The Proton Pack also has a tendancy to overheat, if this happens you will have to wait a brief moment for the Pack to vent and cool it self. Id the Proton Pack runs out of Energy, it can be re-charged by plugging it into a wall outlet.
P.K.E. Meter:
PKE stands for Psycho-Kinetic-Energy a enviormental by product left by let's say "ghost" for lack of better terms. Thus meaning that the PKE Meter is used to track ghosts, it monitors PKE and shows the user when they are close to a Paranormal Object or Presence and also tells them the details about the Supernatural Encounter or Presence.
Ecto-Goggles "Spector Visors":
Are similar to the PKE Meter in use and similar to Night Vision Goggles in appearence. They allows the User to see transparent (invisible) ghosts or spooks. They are generally used to visually trace PKE.
The Ecto Trap:
As you know the ProtonpAcks and there Particle Throwers can only be used to weaken or harm a Ghost, and are not able to destory it or contain it. The Ecto Trap however is a device invented to contain the Ghost. The Ecto Trap is a small box which opens up from the top, it opens whenever the Pedal, which is attached to the box from a long cable, is pushed down. The Box emulates a forcefield up light through the opened space, from here the Ghost just needs to be dragged into the light of the trap and lowered down to be sucked into it. Users are advised not to look directly into the Trap while it is open, the outcome is still unknow. (Actually in the film Return Of The Ghostbusters it is explaine dthat if you look directly into the Ecto-Trap that it may remove the Soul from the Physical Body and contain it inside the Trap. However "Ghostbusters" in the RPG World will not know this). The Trap can hold several Ghosts inside it, however it is reccomended that the Trap is emptied ASAP on occasion.
The Containment Unit:
The Containment Unit is like a huge Trap, it is a Protection Containment Grid System which is used to trap Ghosts and keep them locked away from the world. After catching a Ghost within a Trap it should be placed within the Containment System. To do this, you put the Trap inside a Latch in the middle of the Containment Unit. From here you activate a code, press two puts in sequence and pull down a lever. From here the Trap empty's into the Ghost World, the User is prompted to wait until the Flashing Yellow Light turns Green. When the light is Red, it means an error has occured and the Ghosts are being set loose and free. When the wall light is Yellow, it means the Containment Unit is in use and when the wall light is Green it indicates a successful transaction. Thus proving the rule: "When the light is Green, the trap is Clean".
