The Mage's Guild
The Mage's Guild is a professional organization dedicated for those talented in the field of Magic. The purpose of the Guild is to study and apply the application of the Magical Arts. The Guild provides benefits to scholars of magic and has established laws regarding the proper use of magic. The Guild is dedicated to the collection, preservation, and distribution of magical knowledge with an emphasis on ensuring that all people can benefit from its knowledge. The Guild provides magic services to the General Public, meaning anyone can purchase potions, potion ingredients, magical items, and a selection of standard spells from the Guild. However, training, goods, and greater services are only offered to Members of the Guild.
Arch-Mage
The Arch-Mage is the highest rank in the Mage's Guild and is the leader who controls the whole direction of the Guild. The Arch-Mage is the most powerful Magical Artist in the Guild and is a master in all the forms of magic. The Arch-Mage assigns four Master-Wizards a position within the Council. Together the five form The Council of Mage's. In the event that the Arch-Mage dies, a member from the Council of Mage's will take the position.
Council of Mage's
The Council of Mage's is made up of the Arch-Mage and four Master-Wizards. They are established at the University of Magical Arts and together they decide important Guild policies, administrative recruitment, the sale of spells in each Guild Hall as well as the enforcement of Guild Law. In addition they decide the Guild Master for each Guild Hall.
Guild Master
A Guild Magister is a Mage of the "Wizard" rank and is in charge of his/her own Guild Hall. There is one Guild Master per Guild Hall.
Guild Hall
Guild Halls are the buildings in which the Public or Guild Members may practice, perform, and train their magical skills. The Guild Halls are also the place that offers the purchase of potions, potion ingredients, magical items, and standard spells. Guild Halls are not permitted to offer their greater benefits to the Public. Each Guild Hall is controlled and ran by a Guild Master. Guild Members are permitted to camp at any Guild Hall but are only in control of their own Hall.
The University of Magical Arts
The University of Magical Arts is one of the largest magical training facilitates. It is a large campus for teaching the abilities of Magic. Only Guild Members are permitted on the University grounds. The University offers the best benefits such as spell crafting and enchanting.
The Mage's Guild Charter
The Mage's Guild Charter is a list of rules and regulations that are used to form The Mage's Guild. In order to become a member, the Charter standards must be met. The Charter contains all the rules and punishments for crimes against the Guild.
I. Purpose
The Mage Guild provides benefits to scholars of magic and established laws regarding the proper use of magic. The Guild is dedicated to the collection, preservation, and distribution of magical knowledge with an emphasis on ensuring that all people can benefit from its knowledge.
II. Authority
The Arch-Mage and the Council of Mage's have the highest power and authority in the Guild.
III. Rules and Procedures
Crimes against the guild are as followed;
1. Murdering a Guild Member or Innocent.
2. Stealing from a Guild Member or Innocent.
3. Not performing practice of magic properly
4. Offering greater benefits to those not qualified
5. Being a part of an Anti-Mage Guild or Cult
All crimes against the Guild and its Members are treated with discipline. When a rule is broken, the Member may be stripped from rank and suspended from the Guild. Whether a member may regain their status in the Guild is determined by the Arch-Mage. The suspension may be lifted at the discretion of one of the Council of Mage's. Any Guild Member receiving multiple suspensions will be summarily and permanently dismissed and expelled from The Mage's Guild.
IV. Membership Requirements
The Mage's Guild accepts all candidates willing to learn the training in the Arts of Magic. There are a few requirements needed to join the Guild.
1. You must not be wanted by the law or any other organization.
2. You must no be tied into Necromancy or any other Anti-Mage Guild Group.
3. You must be willing to learn the arts of magic at the pace of the instructors.
