"Her name was Lidda and she showed me many things, lots of things that I was never meant to be shown," Fildon said as he shed a teardrop. "Sadly she is not part of this world anymore." Fildon wiped away his tears. "She was slained by the person I thought I could trust, but now he betrayed us Knights. One day I will hunt down that one man," FIldon said as he rubbed his back. "But for know I will rest, and help the people."

"There is one Knight that might be able to help you... He is a Master Knight by the name of the White Knight." Maria ran over to the window seal and grabbed a wooden figure. It was a statue of the White Knight riding his horse with his sword raised. Maria handed it to Fildon. "Keep it..." she said. "It might bring you luck. He once saved this village from evil once before. Perhaps he could help you..." Fildon glanced at the wooden statue. "Whats a matter?" Maria asked. "Do you know him?"

I do know of this man," FIldon sighed. "I already talk to him and my path is not on the same road as his. He already offered me a quest for peace, but peace is not what I want exactly." Fildon looked at Maria. "If you want me to still keep it, I'll glady except it," Fildon said as he smiled.

Maria nodded her head and smiled. "Keep it!" She walked into the back room which was her bedroom. In the far corner rested a small bed and a squared dresser. She removed her brown shoes and black and white dress. She opened her drawer and grabbed a turquoise shirt and pants. She put them on and crawled into her bed. She covered herself in the blankets as her father kissed her on the head. "Good night dear." He said as he left the room and flicked off the light. "Night daddy" she replied as he shut the door.
Ryker was standing outside by the door. He was leaning up against the old wooden house. His arms were crossed and he had a slight grin on his face. His hood covered his ears as they twitched. Ryker glanced at the mail box. The family name read 'Wolfwood.' Ryker's ears twitched again. He looked beyond the back gate of the Wolfwood house and saw the shape of a shadow.
The Priest came into the living room and sat beside Fildon on the couch. "Son, I now how your feeling. I'm forty years old and I have seen a lot in my time of life. You claim you want redemption... Yet you don't want peace..." The Priest breathed. "The Wolfwood family has suffered depression like you... If it wasn't for my daughter I don't know what I would do..." Mr. Wolfwood removed his tie from his suit and tossed it on to the table in front of the couch. "You must choose what you want. To have redemption there must be peace."

"Priest, I am sorry to dissapoint you, but what I have seen in my lifetime, peace does not exist," FIldon said as he looked at the priest. "Where there is good, there is evil and where there is evil there is good, it is everlasting. All I want to do is to elimante an evil from the world and to get the people to believe that I am not a evil man, thats all I want." Fildon looked around. "Do you want me to sleep here or go somewhere else?" Fildon asked.

"You an spend the night here" the Priest said. "And call me Wolfwood." Fildon nodded his head as Wolfwood left the room and went to see Ryker outside. Ryker had his bow drawn as was sneaking to the back of the house. Wolfwood followed Ryker and saw two shadows casted on the ground. Wolfwood watched as Fildon fired an arrow near a man wearing brown robe holding a dagger.
The arrow hit the ground and the man turned his attention to Ryker. Another arrow was drawn. Ryker aimed it at him. The robed man sheathed his dagger. "What are you doing here?" Ryker called. "I'm here to kill Fildon..." "Not if I can help it!"
Ryker fired his arrow and the robed man pulled his dagger and deflected the arrow away. He tossed his robe in the air and revealed a light black suit. He jumped into the air and pulled a short sword and slashed Ryker's bow in two. Wolfwood ran into his house and got Fildon. "Fildon someone is here to kill you!" Wolfwood led Fildo to the attacker. He was fightinh with Ryker in hand to hand combat.

Fildon took a better look at the man in the black suit. "He looks familiar," Fildon thought as he quickly got into the fight and block the Assassins slash with his longsword. Fildon got a closer look at his face and pushed him away surprised.
"You, I know you... James is that you," Fildon asked as he stepped back. "You guess right Fildon, and to make it some what better I am not sent by Radak," James said as he removed his mask. "Is that so. So what groups want me dead then," Fildon said as he charged at James swinging his longsword at him. "Why should I tell you? Tell you what, if you beat me then I tell you," James said as he block Fildon's slash and slash back. "Fine by me," Fildon said as he parried his attack and punched him in the gut.
Fildon grabbed Jame's shirt and did a German suplex on him, making James drop his weapons. Fildon quickly put James into an arm bar. "Say Uncle god dammit," Fildon yelled as he pulled his arm. "Gah, Uncle, UNCLE!!!" James yelled in pain. Fildon let go of James and got up. "So, why did you tell these two that you are trying to kill me," Fildon asked. "You should know me by now, I'm cocky bastard, besides when your friend fired the arrow I couldn't resist telling him a lie," James said as he laughed. "Now onto the real point, how are things going on your side, Fildon?" "I am currently on a quest to redeem myself to these villagers, and my three friends Maria, the girl that is sleeping in the house, Wolfwood the priest and Ryker the Ranger. As well you should apologize to Ryker for breaking his bow," Fildon said as he pointed to Ryker. James looks at Ryker. "Sorry about that, I get too caught up in acting I forget what i am actually doing.

Ryker picked his broken bow from the ground and glanced at it. The wood from the Blackwood Forest which made the the bow snapped. The daggers blade splinted the wood. Ryker held in a tear as starred at the weapon. "It's okay" he said as he placed the bows remains in his side satchel. Wolfwood was relieved when discovering that the attacker turned out to be friendly. "So, now that you two have..." Suddenly Maria is heard screaming. "Maria!" The three ran into the house and entered Maria's bedroom. She was no where to be found. A letter was sitting by he pillow. Wolfwood gripped the letter and read aloud.
"You are becoming a pain Fildon, you and all your friends. I'll I want is your head, but you make things complicated. If you ever want to see the girl again, come to the cemetery alone. Bring anyone with you and she dies... Any law, she dies, any tricks, she dies. Come alone or this young girls blood shall redecorate the Shadow Knights Temple. ~SK Warrior"
In the distance a horse could be heard galloping. The three men looked out side and saw a hose riding off with two men and Maria. "Horseback! We'll never catch him!" Ryker puffed. "It's your call Fildon... What do we do?"

"I shall do what they want, it is my duty to help," said Fildon. "Even if this kills me, then so be it, as long as Maria lives then my soul shall live in peace." Fildon put his helmet on and looked at everyone. "This is where I depart, Wolfwood, your daughter shall return safe and sound," Fildon said as he began to leave. Fildon stopped and looked at James.
"James is there anything you want to tell me about these people before I leave," "Nothing I know of Fildon." "Well then I am leaving, and James fix Ryker's bow."
Fildon left and started to head towards the cemetery.

When Fildon reached the damp cemetery, he could hear Maria screaming from somewhere inside. Fildon was alone and his eyes shifted as enter the gates. The gate creaked as it opened and he looked around. The thick fog made it difficult to see but Fildon managed to see the surroundings that were close up. There were several grave stones placed around dirt and grass covered patches. One gave stone stood out among the rest. A small grave stone stood over an unburied hole.
Fildon approached the hole and gulped as he read the head stone. 'Here lies Fildon, a unworthy knight.' He looked down and saw a dark red casket. His hands trembled as he lowered them to open it. Sweat ran down the side of his forehead. With one hand he held his sword and with the other he opened the casket's lid. As the casket opened, dust flew into Fildon's eyes. He coughed as he rubbed his eyes still gripping his sword. He lifted his sword and glanced in the casket there was nothing inside. He breathed as he heard Maria shout again. Fildon listened a ran to the shouting.
In the center of the cemetery Maria, still in her turquoise pajama's, was tied to a tree with rope. She sat on the ground struggling to get free. "Somebody help!" she called.
Fildon saw her and moved in. He figured the area was large enough to see an ambush. He saw nothing and ran to her aid. When he reached her just before arms reach a net fell from the top of the tree. Maria tried to warm him but screamed as it fell on him. It caught Fildon and staggered to the ground trapped inside. Two Knights dressed similar to Fildon approached him as one jumped from the tree and took Fildon's silver longsword. They too were Shadow Knights, but not a quest for redemption. They wanted fear and hatred.
"You are too predictable!" Kiv called. Kiv was one of the evil Shadow Knights along with Div and Civ. They were three Knights that worked together. Maria shouted. "Fildon! Somebody help!" her cries echoed through the cemetery but no one heard. Ryker, Wolfwood, and James stayed behind at the Wolfwood home. "Shut her up!" Kiv ordered. Div nodded his head and pulled a white cloth from his pocket and approached Maria. He extended the cloth towards her mouth. She tried to avoid it but he shoved it in and tied it around her mouth gagging her with it. He laughed as she muttered.
"Maria..." Fildon called. Civ kicked Fildon. "Quite, she can help you!" Fildon watched as Div pulled her by the hair as he kissed her on the cheek. He mumbled and a tear fell from her eye. Div began to feel her. Kiv looked back and saw Div. "Enough!" He called. "We don't want her... she was only bait. You can have your way with her later. Perhaps even kill her. We won't be needing her anymore now that we have Fildon." Div sighed under his breath and stepped away from Maria and joined Civ. They both held Fildon down.
"I hope you enjoyed your grave... It was going to be unmarked, but I'm a nice guy so I marked it. Any last words you wish to say before you die?"

"I... I.. I can not fail," Fildon yelled. With a sudden adrenaline rush he lift both Civ and Div of the ground and through them away from him. He quickly got up and backed up quickly till he was besides Maria. He remember that his claymore was removed when the caught him so he pulled a silver longword out of his right sleeve and sliced the rope off of Maria. Maria untied the gag. "Stay behind me and take this dagger," said Fildon s he grabbed a dagger from his boot and gave it to Maria. "You will need it if we want to get out of here alive."

Maria hurtled behind Fildon armed with the dagger. She held it tightly and hid behind Fildon in fear. She looked over at Div as he licked his lips as a gesture towards her. He shared a glance with the young girl. "Tastes like Strawberries" he muttered as he lifted his Swinging-Mace. Civ pulled his Double Battle Axe from his back and twisted around in his hands. Kiv laughed violently. "Why don't you just surrender. It will be less painful for you and the girl..." Kiv sighed deeply as Fildon watched the three maniacs. "Where's Ryker and the old man?" "I came along" Fildon called swinging his sword forcing Kiv to take a step back. "Wise choice mate, but foolish!" He signaled with a hand gesture and Civ and Div marched towards Fildon. Div twirled his Mace. Without a shield the Mace would demolish Fildon's armor. Div took a swing.

"I cannot move, if i do the mace has a chance to hit Maria. I have to take the hit," Fildon thought to himself. Div swing hit Fildon on his left side, which completely destroyed his left side of his armor. "Now is the time to strike back." Fildon quickly slashed with his sliver longsword towards Div. Cutting his arm that was wielding his mace, which made him drop his amce and back up. Fildon screamed in pain. "Must ignore the pain, I must save Maria, the pain is worth it if Maria lives," thought Fildon.
Civ tried to slash Fildon with his double battle Axe, but Fildon quickly caught the Axe with his left hand. Suddenly a large cracking noise came from Fildon's left arm and his arm started to bleed. "Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah," Fildon quickly removed his left hand from the Axe and and shoulder rammed Civ in the chest with his left shoulder pushing him back and making him fall prone.
Kiv snuck up on Fildon, while he was fighting and tried to slash Fildon with his great sword. Maria, noticed it and quickly shanked Kiv in the back before he struck Fildon. "Aaaaargh, get the fuck away bitch," yelled Kiv. Kiv backhand Maria to the ground and took a a swing at Maria. Fildon noticed this and quickly leaped in the way and took the hit tight across his chest. "Would you look at that, a born hero," laughed Kiv. Fildon got on to one knee and stayed in front of Maria. Fildon coughed up some blood and held hsi chest with his fractured left arm. "Born a hero, die as a hero. Good bye Fildon," Kiv said as he took a strike at Fildon.

An arrow flared across the cemetery with top speed and collided with the Steel Long-sword. The iron arrowhead struck the sword and it fell from Kiv’s hand. As he reached to pick it up another arrow fired by his hand. Kiv, Civ, and Div glanced up over the hill. Ryker stood with his bow held together by bandages and James directly behind him. He smiled as the next arrow flew. James chased the arrow as it hit the axe from Civ’s hand. James leaped up dropkicked Div to the ground. Kiv clenched his sword and deflected the on coming arrow. He then delivered an elbow to James who fell to the ground. Kiv and Civ hauled Div to his feet and ran. The three ran as Ryker moved down the hill. “You will play for this… “ Kiv hollered. “You will all die soon enough.”
James got up and helped Fildon lean up against a tree. Fildon puffed as James looked at the wound. “You all right?” he asked. Fildon looked over at Maria. Her turquoise pajamas were stained with dirt from the ground. “No, but she is… I’ll live…” “Are you she’s fine?” Ryker asked and he reached the three. Maria was shaking and starring at the blood cover dagger, which she held firmly in her hand. Ryker knelt down before her. “It’s okay, every will be fine… just drop the dagger Maria.” She hesitated for a moment until opening her hand and dropping the dagger. Ryker helped her from the ground as James helped Fildon. As Fildon rouse, Maria hugged his leg.
James chuckled. “Taken fancy to her our we Fildon…” Ryker interrupted. “I wonder why the IV Family wanted to kill Fildon… Perhaps they are working with your enemies Fildon. What do you think?”

"It is a huge possibility," Fildon said as he coughed up some blood. Fildon removed his right hand from James and patted Maria on the head. "Don't worry Maria everything will be fine."
"Lets get out of this place,"Fildon said as he looked at Ryker. "Agreed," Ryker said as he went ahead to scout. Fildon bent over and picked up his dagger, wipe it on the ground and concealed it back into his armor. "Get on my back Maria," said FIldon. "You sure, your not hurt to much are you," Maria asked with a worried voice. "I'll be fine," Fildon said as he bent down. "Ok," Maria said as she got onto his back and wrapped her arms around his neck.
Fildon got up and and used his right arm to hold Maria up, while he let his left arm hang.
"Your arm Fildon, you sure you are going to be alright," Maria said with a worried voice. "I'll be fine, we will get it treated when we get back to your place," Fildon said as he looked at Maria. Maria, Fildon and James left the cemetery and headed home.

James, Fildon, and Maria riding on Fildon's back traveled long a dirt path back into town. In the distance they could see Ryker knelled on the ground examining the foot prints. The foots prints were scattered in three sets and disparted. All the foot prints were deeper at the front indicating a faster and heavier movement. They three reached Ryker who stood up from the ground. "The area is clear" he said with his eyes rolling up the path following the foot prints. " It seems they were in a hurry, running..." Ryker stopped his words as the sound of an explosion was echoed through the valley. Everyone starred at the Village.
Smoke and flames were engulfing from the Village. he group hurried along he path. Fildon gripped Maria tightly and grunted as he ran with the others. In a few minutes they reached the Village. In the center of town a few villagers layed dead. People were screaming from burning houses and panicking. A scream was heard from the Church. "Daddy" Maria called. The four ran to the Church followed by a few villagers. The group climbed the sanctuary stairs to the tower. Wolfwood was lying on the floor with a slash across his chest.
Kiv held a European Broadsword that was covered in blood in one hand and a book in the other. "Your too late hero's... we got what we came for." He held the book up and moved towards the large window. James took one step and Kiv dived out. James ran to the window placed his hands on the sill and looked out. Kiv was gone. Maria climbed down from Fildon and held her dad's hand firmly. "Please don't go..." she bagged. He breathed heavily. Fildon... Ryker..." he called. The two moved closer. "Look after my... daughter..." His head fell back and his hand loosened from Maria's hand. Maria called to him but he did not respond. She started to cry as she laid by her fathers side.
Ryker frowned and his hands grew into fists as he crushed them together. "Why is it always the innocent who die..." There was no response. He tapped Fildon on the shoulder who starred at Wolfwood. He shrugged his shoulder. "A book! All this for a book? What is so special about that book?"

Fildon remained staring at Wolfwood. "If its a book they want, then I might know what book they want," said Fildon as he continued looking at Wolfwood's body. "And to make it worse, that book is very dangerous in anyones hands other then a priest. That book is a version of the Necronomicon." Fildon sighed as he looked towards Ryker. "That book, contains the advance version of the Shadow Knights spells. The only people in the world that knows how to use them is Radak and myself," said Fildon. "If they learn how to use those spells, the world will be in more chaos."

Maria started to cry still holding her dads body. She rested her head across his chest. "For Maria sake we should get them." James said. "No" Ryker called. "Not alone... If we believe that book may be a copy of the Necronomican, we'll need help." "Who you got in mind?" James asked. "The Disciples of Anchary... Fildon, didn't you mention a White Knight before we meet, were was he heading?"

"The last I remeber is that the white Knight was heading towards Mount Roots," said Fildon. "He could have taken another path during this time, but Mont Roots was the last direction he was heading." Fildon sighed and looked at everyone. "To Mount Roots," said Fildon.
"But before we leave, we ms give a proper burial to Wolfwood." "We don't have time Fildon," said James. "Then we will make time. Now go star digging a grave, and Ryker go get a cross ready."
James left the building and sared to dig a grave. Fildon kneeled down beside MAria and placed his hand on her shoulder. "It is a tagic loss, but we must give a proper burial. So take one las look, if you want to, before we bury him," said Fildo in a soft voice.

Ryker ran to the lower levels of the Church and tore a cross from the wall. "This will do." He said dragging the cross outside behind the Church near the old cemetery. "Weird" Ryker said. "Who builds a cemetery behind a Church?"
The hole was dug and Fildon placed Wolfwood inside before burying with dirt. When the grave as filled, Ryker marked it with the cross. Ryker, Fildon, James, and maria stood in silence.

Fildon kneeld down beside the grave and he palced his hand on the recently dugged soil. He began to rub some of the dirt in his hand as it slowly poured out of his hand and blew away in the wind. Fildon stood up, still looking at Wolfwood's "Wolfwood, your life shall not be in vain. We will get the book back and destroy it, to prevent evil in this world from getting it," said Fildon in a soft voice. Fildon looked towards the others. "Lets go, we must get help from the white knight."

The three: Fildon, James, and Ryker, headed out on their adventure to stop The IV Family from spreading evil. They left Maria back in the town with another family. It would be too dangerous for a little girl on the battlefield. Besides, if Kiv could have his way - she'd be dead, just like her father. Fildon would not let that happen. James and Ryker swore their lolity to Fildon as he lead the two Warriors. Fildon was a Knight - not just a Warrior. But he knew Warriors were very similar to Knights. He trusted James and Ryker and he would too in-trust the help of the White Knight. The three headed to Mount Root to cross paths with the White Knight
It was like a dark cavern with little light coming from lanterns hanging from the gray stone walls. A round table sat in the middle of what looked like an abandoned dungeon. Several Knights dressed in evil looking armor sat around the table. They were the Shadow Knights. Kiv opened the wooden door to the dungeon and it squeaked. He shivered as he saw sight of the Shadow Knights. He tossed the Book of the Dead. The cheap copy was not the original - but still dangerous. The atmosphere in the dungeon increased as evil from the book filled the air. "The man's dead..." Kiv said to the Shadow Knights. One stood out and appeared in different Armour. He took the Book. "Fildon was there... he'll be on his way after us..."

Fildon, Ryker and James were walking no a trail towards Mount root when Fildon collapsed on to the ground.
"Whats wrong Fildon,"said James. "Too much blood loss....," said Fildon, "Completely forgot about the injuries on my body." "You dam fool, you should have got ti treated before we left," said James.
James lifted Fildon off of the ground and placed him against a tree. Looking at the his left arm and his chest through the half destroyed armor. "Dam these injuries are serious, Ryker do you know if their is any kind of medical place or medical herbs around here?" asked James as he looked towards Ryker.

Ryker kneeled close by. He removed his quiver of arrows from his back and opened a small pouch. He pulled a pepper grinder-like device that was filled with drown and green dust bites. It was his home-made healing herbs from Blackwood. He grew the plants himself in his yard. Although Ryker hated magic he was a Master in Alchemy and knew how to prepare potions and herbs. He also knew which plants to use in what situations and which not to use.  Ryker grinded the mesh onto Fildon’s wound and rubbed it in. It felt like nasty burn when being applied but after a couple of minutes the burning would disappear and the wound would get cold. The body would take a moment to adapt to the change.  ”How to you feel Fildon?” Ryker asked.

Ryker sighed. “I’m not trained in repair as you can see my bow is held with bandage from when James broke it.” Ryker placed the healing solution in his quiver. He was wondering why the IV Family would want a copy of the book of the dead. There was more to this than he knew.  “Fildon” Ryker spoke in a serious tone. “Is there something you aren’t telling about yourself or these Shadow Knights?”

Fildon looked away from Ryker and sighed. Fildon looked back and said," I was once the second in command for the Shadow Knights, and the Master of all their arts. A lot of our magic required lives or life force to use it. The willing and the unwilling were affected by it. Our magic can do just about anything we want it to do, including bring back the dead into obedient soldiers, however it only lasted for so long. But however because our magic use life force and lives to do it, we were limited on how much we can use and could never use the full potential. How ever the only solution to our problem was the Book of the Dead, with the book we can use all our magic with little to no cost at all." FIldon sighed. "But despite that, we never could find the real book, only a bunch of copies that does up our magic but never reduces the cost of lives or life force. I just hope that they didn't get the real book."
